About Buying Books

Please use the links below to buy your required textbooks and media. We are in the process of setting up an integrated bookstore for all our books, but until that is in place we have direct links to a number of publishers here. Textbook editions change often, in order to get the correct book and the correct edition, be sure and use the links provided to order directly from the publisher, not Amazon or another bookstore. Most of our publishers offer discounts and/or free shipping. You do not have to be an enrolled student to get the discount through the links provided.

To order: Click on the name of book for the order link. In some cases you may need the school affiliation, Aviva Institute is considered a career school, and we are located in Chattanooga, TN. We have Amazon links to the recommended book lists, however we gradually will be changing those when the new bookstore gets set up.

You are responsible for having the correct edition of the right textbook the first day of each course. Courses go by fast and you may not have time before the course is over. Order required textbooks/media about 4-8 weeks prior to each course, however do not order much earlier due to edition changes.

We will be listing required/recommended reading for each course. We are aware that textbooks are expensive, and that enters our consideration in the selection process. Required textbooks are carefully reviewed, are used throughout the courses, in some cases the same text will be used for multiple courses. Some books offer an eBook or pdf version that is substantially discounted.

Click on each course to see the required textbooks as well as recommended (optional) reading. Winter term courses will be posting book list shortly.
