Birth Emergency Skills Training
for out-of-hospital providers (B.E.S.T) ™
B.E.S.T. is a Continuing Education Certification for out-of-hospital birth providers. It is a short and systematic review of complications and action plans for situations where rapid transport to the hospital are not available.
Such as:
- Recognizing the high-risk pregnancy
- Pain and bleeding in pregnancy
- Complications arising in pregnancy
- Managing Complications of Birth
- Postpartum Emergencies
- Neonatal Emergencies
Course will be taken online over a weekend with other out-of-hospital providers. Or at eight-hour workshops at conferences and other locations across the country.

Intravenous Therapy
for out-of-hospital providers
This certification course covers the fundamentals of IV Therapy. Setting up, changing, or discontinuing an I.V. is included as well as venipuncture review, and saline locks. Supplies are included.
Clinical practicum is done in your home community with an approved preceptor.
Course will be taken online over a week with other out-of-hospital providers. Or at eight-hour workshops with a online prep componant at conferences and other locations across the country.
This is the same comprehensive one credit course we give to our midwifery students.
