Organization Structure

Aviva Institute is a private post-secondary institution. The organizational structure consists of an Executive Board, comprised of health care professionals, business people, and consumers who are committed to creating exceptional programs in midwifery and health education. Their job is to assure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, provide oversight in financial matters, and assure completion of mission goals, as well as to serve on the hiring committee for key administrative positions.

In addition to the Executive Board, we will have an Advisory Board consisting of professionals, alumn, and community members who advise on long-term planning and policy.

Administrative staff include the Administrative Director, Development Director, Business Director , Registrar, and Administrative Assistant.
Faculty, staff and volunteers work in various capacities.

While the organizational structure is based on a traditional academic hierarchal model, we carry into it our values of compassionate communication, consensus-building, respect for diversity, transformational leadership, and honoring each individual’s contribution.
